Surveys overview

Create multi-question surveys that appear on your site and collect structured answers.

Surveys go beyond a single NPS score. You can ask several questions of different types, add follow-ups, route people to different questions depending on their answers and show a thank-you message at the end.

Parts of a survey

TabWhat you set
DetailsName and description (for your team).
QuestionsThe questions, their types, options, follow-ups and routing.
AppearanceInherits Surveys → Appearance defaults, or a custom look for this survey.
TranslationsAI Translation fills questions, options and thank-you text per locale. Shared button labels live under Surveys → Translations.
TargetingEnable switch, devices, timing, throttling, visitor auth, seen notifications, URL rules, optional saved audience.

States

  • Draft: not shown to visitors.
  • Published: eligible to appear, as long as it is also enabled in Targeting.
  • Archived: kept for your records, not shown.

Published is not enough

A published survey stays hidden until Enable survey is switched on in the Targeting tab.

AI Translation

Add a locale and click Generate Translation — Hubbo fills survey copy from your main language. Visitors use hubbo.setLang() when set (pinned); otherwise the browser language, then identify traits. Empty fields fall back to main. See Translations and languages.

Responses

Open a survey’s responses page to see every answer. A response is marked completed when the visitor reaches the end, or declined if they closed it. Each response also records the page and context such as device, browser and country.

A typical flow

  1. Create the survey and add your questions. See Building questions.
  2. Preview it in the editor. Previews do not use your page-view allowance.
  3. Set the targeting and publish. See Targeting and publishing.
  4. Read the responses and close the loop with your users.

Surveys are available on every plan. Surveys appear only while your account is within its page-view allowance.
